Things to do in Sharjah, no research required

Plenty of people skip Sharjah on the way to Dubai’s skyline, and this map is a decent argument against that. It runs deep on historic buildings, galleries and museums, more of both than the emirate next door carries. Al Noor Mosque is the standout landmark for its lakefront setting, and Al Mashawi Al Halabya draws even more attention as an Aleppo-style grill with a serious following. Kava & Chai, near the American University of Sharjah, is the quieter coffee-and-dessert stop between the museum quarter and the souks. Bars and restaurants are mapped too. It holds up as a full day, not a detour.
