Things to do in Medina, no research required

Medina is built around a handful of sites that draw millions a year, and the map’s real job is the distance between them. Al Masjid-e-Nabawi anchors everything with a review count nothing else here comes close to, and Masjid Quba just outside town holds the title of Islam’s first mosque. Archers’ Hill Uhud adds the historical layer at the site of the Battle of Uhud, and The Green Dome is impossible to miss once you’re near the Prophet’s Mosque. Beyond the mosques the museums and shopping streets are mapped for the hours after prayers, which is the part most itineraries leave blank.
