Things to do in Mexico City, no research required

Mexico City has enough museums to fill a month and most people have four days, so the shortlist matters. Palacio de Bellas Artes and the Museo Nacional de Antropología are the two you don’t skip, with Chapultepec Castle worth the walk up the hill between them. Templo Mayor Museum sits right in the historic center near the cafes, so the coffee break plans itself. Bars and breakfast spots are mapped throughout, covering a full week of mornings and evenings well beyond the Zócalo and the murals that everybody photographs and nobody reads about.
