Things to do in Melaka, no research required

Melaka’s old town is walkable in a day, but the best stops aren’t on the main strip. The Malacca Chinese Mosque anchors the historic side, and the Ghost Museum Melaka is the odd, memorable one that guidebooks skip and shouldn’t. King Kunyit Ayer Keroh covers a proper Malaysian meal, and Tipsy Bridge takes the evening along the river. There’s a good spread of galleries and small museums mapped too, so there’s a version of this town that goes well past the Jonker Street night market everybody’s already heard about.
