Things to do in Vancouver, no research required

Vancouver is a city you’ll walk further in than you planned, mostly along the Stanley Park seawall. Northern Cafe is the standout here, a diner-style spot with more reviews behind it than nearly anything else on the map and a brunch scene backing it up as the heaviest category in the city. Old Faithful Shop covers retail people actually buy from rather than souvenirs. Christ Church Cathedral and the Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival take the evenings, which matters more than you’d think given the rain. Bars and a solid shopping list are mapped too, so the week holds up hiking or hiding indoors.
